There is no cure or effective treatment for ALS, which makes fundraising for research a vitally important cause. All proceeds from the ALS Shootout golf tournament will be donated to ALS Northwest, a non-profit serving Oregon and SW Washington. The mission of ALS Northwest is to provide comprehensive support and advocacy for people with ALS and their families, while advancing research for new treatments and an end to ALS.

SIGN UP AND PLAYKirk Hendrickson and Mike Cunningham were both actively involved in the community, dedicating most of their adults lives to coaching youth sports. Both were afflicted by Lou Gehrig’s Disease, also known as ALS, and taken by the disease much too early in life. ALS is a fatal disease, more common in middle-aged men than any other demographic group. The life expectancy of a person with ALS is typically 2-5 years from diagnosis.
